We are very sorry, but this is the only english information presently available on our website. The intention of this page though is to still give some hints to international B5 fans to what Interstellar Alliance is up to.

Who are we?
We are a non-profit club in the west coast area of Sweden. The boardmembers all resides in the vicinity of Gothenburg but we have no intentions to limit the association geographically, rather the opposite.
We have roughly 50 registered members presently but the interest for our activities are drawing larger numbers.

What do we want?
The purpose of the club is to enjoy and endorse the scifi stories created by J. Michael Straczynski (wich includes episodes of Jeremiah, Twilight Zone and He-Man as well as Babylon 5 and Crusade) but particularly concentrated on Babylon 5.
As scifi clubs in general used to be rather mainstream and concerned only the successful series and films (more or less summed up with Star Trek & Star Wars) our first goal was to gather those few who had managed to savour the greatness of Babylon 5.
B5 was never broadcast on any Scandinavian nationwide channel in its full. We strive to repair this and reach larger numbers with the series and to present them with focused attention or to fill the gaps wich otherwise might lose us the late arriving fans. To do this we arrange small conventions we call BabCon.

What do we do?
It all started with just a few of us who began to enjoy Babylon 5 together. We initially met in our apartments but we quickly grew out of them. That's when we decided to arrange BabCon for the general public.
Our conventions generally gets 30 to 70 visitors since then. The program is always concentrated on a main feature of 5 or 6 episodes and films, but we also watch 2 or so episodes for warm up before that, introducing other series, spin-offs or JMS early works.
For every BabCon we arrange a trivia connected to the program with B5 related prizes from our sponsors and we dinner together halfway through the main feature on local restaurants and mostly conversate casually over the show. Finally we always follow up with some activities that further promotes a deeper understanding for the storylines and implifications of JMS. Preferably in nice surroundings with drink and perhaps some food.

What about the future?
Today we only arrange BabCons where the screening of episodes are the in focus. When there's enough interest in other types of activities from the visitors we will realize more of the traditional activities for larger conventions.
We also strive to expand the organization, regarding both memberships and services. We hope to develop this website to coordinate merchandise aquisition from abroad, to registrate users, keep forums and much more.
Up till now we have let people attend BabCon paying entrance only but continuously though membership will be mandatory. This to give us better terms for public screenings and to use our resources to give our members better value.

More questions?
If you have any questions about our activities, feel free to ask any member of The Board.
